Revealed: The mystery $10m PGA Tour man who quietly out-earned Tiger

Tiger Woods looks gutted as he finds out someone earned more than him on the PGA Tour in 2025.
Tiger Woods never earned more than $10 million in a PGA Tour regular season.

The PGA Tour 2025 regular season prize money charts have been confirmed, with Scottie Scheffler once again topping the charts.

He is out in front with $19million in prize money this season, along with two Major titles at the PGA Championship and Open.

The world number one is followed by the second-ranked OWGR player, with Rory McIlroy taking home $16million in event earnings.

The Northern Irishman played just 14 events in a year, where he picked up a long-awaited Masters crown and Career Grand Slam.

We could have seen that coming.

But at number three in the 2025 PGA Tour prize money rankings is a name that no one would have predicted in January.

U.S. Open Champion, the most clutch putt of 2025 at Oakmont? Yep, remember that guy?

J.J. Spaun is the third-highest earner on the PGA Tour this year with his $10million groundbreaking season.

And he has equalled one man who never passed $10 million in annual PGA earnings…

Fellow U.S. Champion – Tiger Woods.

The GOAT and 15-time Major winner reached the $10million annual prize money milestone in 2005, 2007 and 2009, but never made it past that number.

Spaun’s breakout 2025 PGA Tour season is one that he will remember, as will the record books.

Richest PGA Tour events in 2025:

The Californian nearly won the two most lucrative events in the PGA Tour calendar.

Spaun took home the second-biggest winning cheque of the season of $4.3m for his U.S. Open win at Oakmont Country Club.

The 34-year-old also lost to Rory McIlroy in a playoff at the Players Championship and missed out on 2025’s biggest regular season prize of $4.5m at TPC Sawgrass.

McIlroy added to his Players bonus with $4.2m from Augusta National in the season’s third richest event.

Scheffler claimed two Majors, but the $3.42m and $3.1m for the PGA Championship and Open were just the 14th and 15th most lucrative events on the calendar.
