WATCH: Marcel Siem hits perhaps the shot of the year

Marcel Siem has produced a singular moment of magic that underlines the incredible 2023 he has enjoyed.
Siem has been all about big achievements and incredible moments this term after winning his first title in eight years in February.
He has also been no stranger to becoming a social media sensation thanks to his epic visor toss.
After shooting a career-low round just last month, it appeared that Siem was done creating magic for the year.
Siem then got the crowd fired up after his incredible shot out of the water on the 17th hole at the Gary Player Country Club on Friday.
Siem had found the water with his approach shot but felt that there was enough of the ball above the water for him to try his arm at an audacious recovery shot which he put within a yard of the hole.
He was able to win a few fans in the gallery and gave many a memory they won’t soon forget after their Sun City visit.
Siem defeated fellow German Yannick Paul in a fourth-round showdown at the Indian Open.
“I feel sorry for Yannik, he played solid golf, but it was a battle out there,” Siem said after his win at the DLF Country Club in February.
Siem said the pressure of ending a long wait for a title added a thick layer of tension to his round which left him in a wave of relief after claiming the title.
“This is probably the toughest golf round I have played in my life with the prize involved. This course doesn’t allow you to make mistakes,” Siem said.
He didn’t have a single moment through the week when he felt that his long wait for a title would end in India.
“My goal this week was a top ten. I never really had the feeling that this was my week,” Siem said as he took the title at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon, Haryana.
Siem has become one of the most popular golfers on tour with his unique sense of fashion and knack for pulling off the incredible.
He wore one of his trademark Hawaiin shirts both in winning the Indian Open and his career low round at the Spanish Open in October.
His shirts have even seen him land a deal with Ralph Lauren and has encouraged other golfers to further embrace colour.
