WATCH: Is Snappy Gilmore the world’s best one-handed striker of a golf ball?
Eliezer Paul-Gindiri, better known as Snappy Gilmore, has garnered some incredible social media fame for his unusual but thrilling golf swing style.
Snappy Gilmore has been able to generate an insane amount of clubhead speed one-handed with his unusual technique.
It certainly draws the crowds and even inspires imitation.
Is Snappy Gilmore the best one-handed striker of the ball?
He rose to prominence following a 2021 viral video, and in 2022 was invited by the PGA of America and the PGA Tour to demonstrate his approach with other PGA players.
Paul-Gindiri attended Contra Costa College and played football before taking up golf.
On February 28, 2021, a TikTok video of him playing golf with others at Diablo Creek Golf Course in Concord, California, received five million views.
His driving stroke with a golf club earned him the moniker Snappy Gilmore, a reference to the film Happy Gilmore, and he was featured on Barstool Sports, Golf Magazine, Sports Illustrated, and SportsCenter.
On March 15, 2022, Genesis Motor sponsored a friendly match between six-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa and Snappy.
The video compares Paul-Gindiri’s drive against Homa’s regulation two-handed stroke.
In joke, they both proclaimed the result as a draw.
