WATCH: Bill Murray gets incredible break on 18th hole at St Andrews

Bill Murray at St Andrews

The 18th fairway at St Andrews is one of the widest in golf.

It’s huge. With the adjoining 100-yard wide 1st fairway coming down the other way, there’s acres of space to hit into.

But Bill Murray suffered the dreaded low slice mishit when he fired his drive off the 18th in round four of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The Hollywood star’s tee-shot shoots right and bounds beyond the white posts flanking the hotels. “Right off the toe. A scuttler,” says Ken Brown in commentary.

That’s out of bounds.

Except… it isn’t!

Murray’s ball strikes a metal fence and magically appears back in play after hopping back down the concrete walkway.

How’s that for an incredible break!

“Moment of the week!” says one Instagram follower.
