Woods to make Masters decision soon

World number one Tiger Woods is close to making a decision on his Masters participation, according to his agent.

The 14-time major winner has battled a back problem for most of the season and was forced to pull out of the final round of the Honda Classic at the start of March. Two weeks later he had to skip the Arnold Palmer Invitational altogether as the problem refused to go away.

With the 2014 Masters just around the corner, the American admitted last week that “it’s actually still a little too soon (to know), to be honest with you”.

Although he still has over a week before the tournament at Augusta, his agent Mark Steinberg told Brian Biggane of the Palm Beach Post that “a decision would be made ‘very, very shortly’ on Tiger’s status for the Masters”.
