Woods on course for December return

Tiger Woods is on course to make his comeback in December after his agent confirmed that he has some training sessions on the driving range.
The 38-year-old has been injury-ridden for most of 2014 and hasn’t completed a round since missing the cut at the US PGA Championship in August.
Woods went under the knife in March this year in an attempt to remedy his troubling back and then returned to the course in June for the Quicken Loans National.
However, the 14-time major winner suffered a recurrence of that back injury during the Bridgestone Invitational and withdrew from the event before he could finish.
He recovered to play in the PGA Championship, but was clearly below his best and opted to take off the remainder of the year in order to regain fitness.
Woods is expected to return to action at the Hero World Challenge on December 4-7 and according to his agent Mark Steinberg, he is on target to be fit to participate in the Florida event.
“[Woods is] still listening to his doctors. Hitting balls and doing as much as he feels good with,” Steinberg said in a text message.
