Wie and Thompson face off at Kraft

Michelle Wie and Lexi Thompson share the lead going into the final day of the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
The American duo are locked on 10 under as Mission Hills prepares for the LPGA showdown they have been waiting for.
Thompson would settle for a three under 69 after she pushed a three foot putt wide on the final hole for a bogey.
“Not the ending I wanted,” said the 19-year-old, whose best result at Nabisco was a tie for 21st in 2009.
“I’m getting looks at birdies and just waiting for a few more to drop. I would say I had a few mis-reads,”
“I think if you’re not nervous, you don’t care. But it’s a good nervous. This is what I’ve been waiting for and what I’ve worked my whole life for.”
Meanwhile, Wie carded a four under 68 to draw level with Thompson, setting up what should be a tense final days play at the first LPGA Major of the year.
“I probably won’t sleep that well,” said the 24-year-old.
“It’s just the chance. You want something so badly. I dreamed about this all my life, so I’m just trying to not think about it so much. I’m just trying to think it’s a normal Sunday. … But I think that’s a good thing. It’s a sign that I’m really excited and I really want this.”
When asked about Thompson, Wie gave the five time winner on the LPGA the respect she deserves.
“I think Lexi is a really entertaining golfer,” added the Hawaii-born golfer.
“I like to think I’m somewhat entertaining as well. So, I think the both of us paired together is great. I think it’s great for the tour and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
The pair are two shots clear of Charley Hull and South Korea’s Se Ri Pak, while Critie Kerr is four shots off the pace.
