Watney extends lead

Nick Watney pushed out his lead to three points on the modified Stableford scoring system at the Barracuda Championship.
After a bogey free opening round, Watney carded five birdies and two bogeys in his second round at the Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno.
Watney, ranked 124th in the FedEx Cup standings, did not qualify for the ongoing World Golf Championships.
The round earns him eight points, bringing his tournament tally to 26 points overall, three ahead of second place Geoff Ogilvy.
The chasing Australian earned five points for a superb eagle on the par five 13th, but lost a point when he bogeyed the 14th. A birdie on the 16th would see him pick up seven points for the round and leave him on 23 points in total.
American’s Wes Roach and Tommy Gainley moved up the leaderboard after earning ten points each, while Tim Wilkinson dropped two places after a disappointing round only saw him score five points.
