USA make a comeback

After two victories on Friday, Team USA are back in the hunt for the International Crown.
Lexi Thompson and Cristie Kerr managed to eke out a 3 and 2 win over Spanish duo Beatriz Recari and Beken Mozo.
The other pairing of Paula Creamer and Stacy Lewis defeated Azahara Munoz and Carlota Ciganda 2-up.
The four Americans were paired differently on Thursday and ended up losing both their respective matches to Taiwan’s Candie Kung, Teresa Lu, Yani Tseng and Phoebe Yao.
“Obviously, we made the right decision,” Creamer told Cybergolf about the switch of teams.
“We felt comfortable. I thought Lexi and I had a lot of chemistry out there together. We played with a lot of heart for each other.”
The win sees the top-seeded Americans tie for second place in Pool A with Taiwan. Group leaders Thailand have imprssed so far while Spain is bringing up the rear.
Meanwhile in Pool B, the Japanese paring of Mika Miyazato and Mamiko Higa eased past Australia’s Minijee Lee and Hall of Famer Karrie Webb while Ai Miyazato and Sakura Yokomine halved their match wioth Katherine Kirk and Lindsey Wright. The victories see the Japanese top Pool A with six points.
“It feels amazing right now,” said Miyazato.
“Until 12 holes, I and Sakura just felt like today was Australia’s day. We tried to accept the results, and said that every extra hole is just a bonus.”
In other results, Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall defeated South Koreans Inbee Park and So Yeon Ryu 1-up while their Korean compatriots IK Kim and Na Yeon Choi got back a point when they beat Mikaela Parmild and Pernilla Lindberg by the same margin.
