Srixon ZXi LS drivers: Respected for balls, Srixon have produced a superb option from the tee

Matt Cooper
Srixon ZXi driver

Srixon are justifiably famous for their balls.

From high quality tour quality options to balls for the budget golfer, Srixon have always had competitive offerings.

But increasingly the company is turning to the full range of equipment and in its 2025 release of the ZXi LS driver it might have hit upon a game changer – not only for the company but within the game itself.

It will always be hard to break the stranglehold of TaylorMade, Titleist, Ping and Callaway but Srixon are going to give it a go.

Let’s take a closer look …

What about the visuals?

With an all black matte crown the look is fantastic.

It has a laser milled face which aids control in poor conditions.

There are three head options in the ZXi, ZXi LS and the ZXi Max

And the science?

This focuses on the i-Flex face.

What’s so special about it?

There is not a standard thickness. It is thinner towards the centre and this permits higher speeds.

The Star Frame Crown backs up the thin titanium crown structure and, crucially, it lightens the weight which further improves performance – and this is the case across the range.

There is a Rebound Frame which has not one but a dual flex zone. That results in extra flex across the whole face – another way of increasing speed and subsequently more distance.

Adjustable drivers are all the rage – any of that here?

Arguably adjustability is what makes this range stand out.

For the low spin Srixon ZXi LS front and back weights can be tweaked to change ball flight characteristics.

It is designed to assist and advantage high swing speeds.

In the Srixon ZXi there are two weight ports at the back.

The first is light and the other is heavy. It’s all about finding your desired ball flight, high forgiveness and plenty of distance.

Finally there is the Srixon ZXi Max with weight deep at the back of the head which delivers high MOI.

It’s a good option then?

It really is. It looks good, it is modern and high tech, and it delivers with distance and control.

What about the details?

The shaft option will be a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6 in R, S and X flex.

The grip is a Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360.
