Sky Bet slash Tiger US Open odds

Sky Bet have slashed Tiger Woods’ odds of successfully defending his US Open crown from 11/4 to 13/8.
Sky Bet have slashed Tiger Woods’ odds of successfully defending his US Open crown from 11/4 to 13/8.
This because of the money that has been flooding in on him following his stunning victory at the Memorial Tournament in Ohio on Sunday.
Sky Bet’s senior golf compiler, John Rhodes, said: “Punters are piling into Woods to defend his US Open crown.
“With his impressive final round of 65 to win the Memorial at the weekend, Woods looked in inspired form, hitting 14 out of 14 fairways and ranking second in fairways hit for the week.
“If he can keep it in the fairway like that at Bethpage Black, where he won in 2002, then there can only be one winner.”
Woods had been backed down to 11/4 (from 16/5) with Sky Bet for the Memorial.
Rhodes added: “All profits from 400/1 skinner Jeppe Huldahl winning the Welsh Open were offset by the Woods victory.”
