Shane Lowry still leads at weather-hit RBC Heritage

Irishman Shane Lowry kept his nose in front at the PGA Tour’s weather-disrupted RBC Heritage, though he wasn’t able to complete his second round.
Lowry was one of many players who were unable to reach the clubhouse before darkness suspended play.
Earlier, there was a lengthy four-hour rain delay after strong storms struck the Hilton Head, South Carolina area.

When play was suspended at the Harbour Town course, Lowry held a one-shot lead on nine under par, having just made a two-putt birdie on the 15th to move to three under for his round.
That put him one stroke clear of American Trey Mullinax, technically the clubhouse leader on eight under after managing to sign for a three-under-par 68.
World No 1 Dustin Johnson, fresh from his runner-up finish at the Masters, was a shot further back on seven under alongside Emiliano Grillo after both shot four-under 67s.
“Just keep doing exactly what I’ve been doing,” Johnson said of his weekend game plan. “I’m swinging well, placing the ball where I want to. Hopefully, I can roll in a few putts over the weekend.”
Grillo easily hit the shot of the day when he holed his 254-yard second shot for an albatross on the par-5 fifth.
Lowry will join 55 other players to complete the second round on Saturday morning before starting the third.
