Sextet share the lead in Mexico

Six players are tied for the lead at the completion of the first round of the OHL Classic at Playa del Carmen.
The men at the top returned rounds of 65 while no less than 14 players are one shot off the pace as the course provided excellent scoring opportunities on the opening day.
The American sextet heading the field includes Will MacKenzie and Robert Garrigus.
Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Championship winner, is one of the 14 players who carded rounds of 66, while last year’s winner Harris English is in a group that are two shots behind the leaders along with the highest-placed Mexican in the field, Carlos Ortiz.
The OHL Classic offers a total prize fund of 6.1million US dollars, with almost 1.1 million of it to the winner, but none of the world’s top 50 players will be battling it out in Playa del Carmen this week.
Former US Open and Masters champion Angel Cabrera is the top-ranked player in the field at 60th but the 45-year-old Argentinian seems out of contention having only managed a round of three-over par.
