Schwartzel signs with IMG

Former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel has signed with IMG, considered the global leader in talent representation.
The South African is currently ranked 17th in the world, and aside from his memorable triumph at Augusta in 2011, has 10 victories worldwide.
He is a regular fixture on both the European and PGA Tours.
“I feel IMG is best positioned to help grow my business both globally and in the United States at this pivotal time in my career,” said Schwartzel. “I look forward to making full use of their global resources and experience.”
Guy Kinnings of IMG said: “We are absolutely delighted to work with Charl across all aspects of his career, allowing him to place his entire focus on excelling inside the ropes.
“IMG is uniquely positioned to help maximize Charl’s business interests globally and we look forward to helping such a talented player succeed on and off the golf course. From its inception IMG has a long and proud history of representing South African players who have played global schedules and we are thrilled to have Charl join us as a client.”
Schwartzel is yet to win in 2014, but has two top ten finishes to his name following a fifth place at the Northern Trust Open and a tie for ninth at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
