Play abandoned at Whistling Straits

Second round action at the PGA Championship has been called off for the day due to adverse weather conditions.

An afternoon storm brought with it a howling wind, rain, and lightning. Play was briefly put on hold as officials waited for it to pass, before play was suspended for the remainder of the day.

When play was suspended, the Australian duo of Jason Day and Matt Jones headed the leaderboard on nine-under, one shot clear of Justin Rose, with David Lingmerth, Harris English and Tony Finau a further shot back.
