Park ready for tough season

Inbee Park is expecting more of the same during this year’s LPGA Tour season which gets underway at the inaugural Coates Golf Championship this week.
The World Number One has been paired with US Women’s Open champion Michelle Wie in Florida for the opening round that will feature nine of the top ten players on the circuit.
She has indicated that the season will be closely contested, but also warned of new players coning through to challenges some of the more familiar faces on tour.
“Michelle played really good last year and obviously Stacy Lewis has been playing steady for the last few years… we’ve been competing for pretty much everything for the last few years together,” Park told reporters.
“If it’s like that this year then it will be a really great season, but I think there are a lot of new strong players coming up to play.”
Speaking about her time away from the game, the South Korean star said that she had worked on improving her swing and was confident that the adjustments she made would benefit her game.
