Mickelson takes up baseball to promote Women’s PGA Championship
Phil Mickelson recently swapped his golf clubs for a baseball bat to help promote the upcoming Women’s PGA Championship.
If you’re wondering what the connection between Mickelson and the Women’s PGA Championship is, look no further than the event’s sponsor, KPMG, which also has a longstanding relationship with the five-time major champion.
On Monday night, Mickelson teamed up with LPGA star Stacy Lewis in Minneapolis, where the venue for the Women’s PGA Championship, Hazeltine, is located, and showed he’s no mug with a baseball bat in hand.

While he didn’t appear to hit any out of the park, Lefty certainly didn’t embarrass himself either.
Mickelson missed the cut at last weekend’s Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow, and will be back in action at Bethpage Black next week for the PGA Championship.
