Louis, Sergio set for Colonial

Louis Oosthuizen and Sergio Garcia have joined the field assembled for the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
Louis Oosthuizen and Sergio Garcia have joined the field assembled for the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, starting May 21.
The duo join last year’s FedEx Cup champion Bill Haas as recent additions to the line-up.
Oosthuizen, the World No 11 and 2010 Open champion from South Africa, was the man involved in the epic play-off that resulted in Bubba Watson’s Masters win, while Garcia, the Spanish World No 21, has long been one of golf’s biggest European stars.
Garcia is the 2001 Colonial champ, but Oosthuizen will be making his debut in the event.
“We’re thrilled to have him. He’ll create some buzz,” Colonial tournament director Michael Tothe said. “You’re always excited when someone of that magnitude wants to play your event that hasn’t played it before.”
Tothe added that it was “huge” for the tournament to have Garcia commit to the tournament as well.
