Korda wins in Malaysia

American golfer Jessica Korda won the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia on Sunday with a closing six under 65 for a four-stroke win.
The 22-year-old made five birdies in seven holes up until the 10th; she then dropped a shot on the 11th before two more birdies on the 13th and 17th holes.
In a tie for second place was New Zealand’s Lydia Ko, America’s Stacy Lewis and China’s defending champion Shanshan Feng.
Korda finished with an 18 under 266 and earned $300,000. She started the day with a two-stroke lead after carding rounds of 69, 67 and 65.
Ko and Feng finished with a 66 while and Lewis shot a 67.
South Korean star Inbee Park finished in 15th place after a 72. She and Ko have both had four tour victories so far this year.
The next events in Asia are the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship next week in South Korea, followed by tournaments in Taiwan, China and Japan.
