Kerr joins Salas at the top

Cristie Kerr carded a two-under-par 70 to grab a share of the lead of the Kia Classic after Saturday’s third round.
Joining the American on 10-under is her compatriot Lizette Salas, who carded a three-under-par 69 at the Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, California.
“I have been hitting it pretty fine. I am an adrenaline player, once I get it going I get confident,” the 17-time winner on the LPGA Tour commented.
“I hit some kind of bad putts on the back nine, but that made up for it.”
Dori Carter, who led after the second round, carded a 74 on Saturday to drop down to eight-under.
Joining her in a tie for third place is Japan’s Ayako Uehara (67), Feng Shanshan of China (69) and Swede Anna Nordqvist (67).
Stacey Lewis fell into a tie for seventh place at seven-under after bogeying three of her last five holes en route to a 73. After the third round Lewis is level with Ji Eun-Hee (65), Lexi Thompson (70) and Chella Choi (70).
Salas joined Lewis and Kerr at the top of the leaderboard at the par three 14th, before giving the shot back at the next hole. She then birdied the 17th to tie for the lead once more.
“I felt like I left some putts out there, but I’m still hitting great shots and giving myself opportunities for birdie,” Salas said.
“Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day. We’ll just see what happens. You know, another round in the 60s is a good thing, but I still feel like I left some putts out there. You’ve just got to shake it off.”
