Johnson wins PGA Player of the Year

Following his superlative season, Dustin Johnson has been named the PGA Tour Player of the Year for 2015-16.
PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem revealed the news on Tuesday.
"On behalf of the PGA Tour, my congratulations to Dustin Johnson for his outstanding play on big stages during the 2015-16 season," said Finchem.
"His hard work on the golf course and in the gym paid off with the finest season of his career, and the member vote reflects the respect his peers have for him."
Johnson secures the Jack Nicklaus Trophy – which is voted for by the PGA Tour's membership – after an incredible run that featured an incredible 15 top ten finishes from 22 starts.
Of his three wins, his maiden major victory at the U.S. Open is Johnson's greatest achievement. The 32-year-old would also finish the PGA Tour season as the top money earner, with a staggering $9 365 185 and rank second in the FedEx Cup.
