Jimenez leads Langer by one

Miguel Angel Jimenez carded a second round 70 to claim a one-shot lead at the Greater Gwinnett Championship.
The Spanish player, competing in his event on the Champions Tour, goes into Sunday’s final round a single stroke ahead of Bernhard Langer, who carded his second 68 of the event on Saturday.
After two days at TPC Sugarloaf, Fed Couples is another stroke behind on seven-under after he carded a 68 on the day as well.
“That’s about as good a pairing as you’re going to get,” Couples said after his round.
“I’m thrilled about that, to have a shot at winning.”
Added Langer: “It should be an exciting shootout. … Whoever is going to win tomorrow is going to play some good golf.”
Tied for fourth place on five-under are Jay Haas (68), Chien Soon Lu (68), Duffy Waldorf (68), Kenny Perry (71) and Steve Pate (71).
Jimenez is attempting to become the second player this year to win on his Champions Tour debut, after Jeff Maggert won the tour’s last event at Saucier at the end of last month.
He started the round with a three-shot advantage and began his second round with a birdie, but then dropped three shots in the next three holes, with a double bogey on the fourth pegging him back somewhat.
