Icher leads by one in South Korea

After a solid 68, Karine Icher earned a one stroke lead at the LPGA’s KEB-HanaBank Championships on Friday.
The Frenchwoman carded a four under 68 in the second round of the South Korean event hosted at the Ocean Course at the Sky72 Golf and Resort Club in Incheon.
Icher started off slow and found herself two under after ten holes following two birdies. While a bogey on the par five eleventh set her back, Icher finished strongly with three birdies over her last four holes to take a slender overall lead at five under.
The 35-year-old is followed by America’s Brittany Lincicome and Beatriz Ricari of Spain on four under. Lincicome birdied her last two holes to jump up the leaderboard while Ricari posted a cool 70.
Overnight leader Kang Hae-Ji slumped to a three over 75 on Friday. The local favourite slips down to tied for tenth on two under.
Meanwhile, with the absence of world number one Stacey Lewis, world number two Inbee Park could secure the top ranking with a win.
However, the South Korean will have to to better than her opening rounds of 71 and 73 if she wants to reach the top spot.
