How much money did 2024 PGA TOUR Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler win in 2024?
It’s been an amazing year for the world number one golfer Scottie Scheffler and it came as no surprise when he was named as PGA TOUR Player of the Year this week.
He’s played 21 tournaments, finished top 10 in 18 of them and top three in 12.
Even more impressively he claimed nine wins.
The highlight was the Masters but he also added the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Players Championship, the RBC Heritage, the Memorial Tournament, the Travelers Championship, the Olympic Men’s Competition, the Tour Championship and December’s Hero World Challenge.
In 15 of those 21 events he broke 69 in the final round so it’s safe to say that he’s pretty good at closing the deal.
Talking of closing the deal, what about how much money Scheffler won?
Let’s take a look at the dizzying amounts he has cashed this year.
The wins are pretty impressive.
The Masters was worth $3.6 million but it was far from his biggest money win.
Of the other regular events, the Players Championship reaped $4.5 million, the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Memorial Tournament $4 million apiece, while the RBC Heritage and Travelers Championship were worth $3.6 million.
The Hero World Challenge was something of a let down, being worth a mere $1 million, and he left the Olympics with nothing more than a gold medal but the Tour Championship more than made up for that – it was worth a whopping $25 million, a figure that qualifies as unofficial earnings.

What of the other finishes? They’re kind of fascinating.
Tied fifth in the Sentry earned $690,500, tied 17th in the American Express $132,300, tied sixth in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am $642,500, tied third in the Phoenix Open $519,200, tied 10th at the Genesis Invitational $455,000, tied second in the Houston Open $553,735, tied eighth in the PGA Championship $521,418, tied second in the Charles Schwab Challenge $809,900, tied 41st in the US Open $72,305, tied seventh in the Open $451,833, fourth in the St Jude Championship $960,000, and tied 33rd in the BMW Championship $119,667.
In other words, Scheffler played 21 tournaments and won at least $100,000 in 20 of them.
His “worst” week’s work of the year earned $72,305.
In all, he earned a record $29,228,357 on tour and that DOESN’T include his $25 million for winning the Tour Championship and with it the FedEx Cup.
Or the $8 million he landed for leading the Comcast Business Top 10.
Or even that $1 million in the Hero World Challenge.
Put together it comes to $58,456,748.
That’s right, over $58 million!
