How far Charley Hull hits each club
It’s almost bizarre to say that Charley Hull has been a pro for over 10 years and has played on the last seven Solheim Cup teams and she’s still only 28.
This year she has been as high as seventh in the world and the English golfer was a winner again at the Aramco Team Series event in Riyadh.
She has ‘only’ won twice on the LPGA Tour but last year there were two runners-up spots in the Majors, at Pebble Beach and Walton Heath.
In 2019 Hull signed with TaylorMade, a deal she renewed three years later, and she plays those clubs through the bag.
At the top end she has increased her driving distance by seven yards with the Qi10 driver – BUY IT HERE.
If you follow Hull on social media it’s very apparent that she works very hard on the physical side of the game and she ranked 14th for Driving Distance this year at 271.81 yards.
In comparison, only four players carried the ball over 280 yards and she is very similar to the likes of Nelly Korda and Linn Grant.
Hull is also in the top for Par-5 scoring average and here she carries a 3-wood and 4-hybrid or occasionally a 3-iron.
Here there is a pretty standard 30-yard gap between clubs and she also ranks 8th for Greens in Regulation, finding 74 per cent of them.
LPGA Tour stats are fairly limited in comparison to the PGA Tour but there’s nothing that stands out too much. Hull’s yardages are similar to those of Korda and, for all that it appears that the English star swings the club pretty fast, there is plenty of control in there.
As for the wedges she won’t be swinging these at anything like full tilt and she’ll have her own particular method in filling those particular yardage gaps.
At the boom end of the bag Hull employs a TaylorMade TP Juno putter and TP5x ball.
Hull has recently installed a new swing studio in her home, with a new gym also on the way, so 2025 could be another big year for her.
