Fisher confirmed for NGC

Ross Fisher is the latest player to be confirmed for this year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Sunshine Tour Order of Merit winner from England has a fine record in South Africa. He finished in a tie for third place at the Alfred Dunhill Championship last November, and then finished 10th at the Joburg Open in February before winning the Tshwane Open a couple of weeks later.
He was also part of the line up at Sun City on two previous occasions – finishing third in 2009 and then fifth in 2010.
Tournament director Alastair Roper also confirmed that three former world number ones and various members of the victorious European Ryder Cup team will participate at the Gary Player Golf Course from December 4-7.
The Ryder Cup stars include Thomas Bjorn, Martin Kaymer, Victor Dubuisson, Jamie Donaldson, Stephen Gallacher and Lee Westwood, while Miguel Angel Jiminez will also be in the field.
Bjorn is the defending champions, while Westwood will be making his 10th appearance at the Sun City event.
The 2014 US Open winner Kaymer will be hoping to add another title to his 2012 title, while the South African charge will be led by Charl Schwartzel, the 2011 Masters champion, and 2013 Sunshine Tour Order of Merit winner Dawie van der Walt.
They will be joined by Thai players Thongchai Jaidee and Kiradech Aphibarnrat. Aphibarnrat qualified by virtue of winning the 2013 Asian Tour Order of Merit.
Confirmed players: Thomas Bjorn (Denmark), Martin Kaymer (Germany), Lee Westwood (England), Charl Schwartzel (South Africa), Victor Dubuisson (France), Jamie Donaldson (Wales), Stephen Gallacher (Scotland), Dawie van der Walt (South Africa), Kiradech Aphibarnrat (Thailand), Luke Donald (England), Miguel Angel Jiminez (Spain), Ross Fisher (England) and Thongchai Jaidee (Thailand).
