Donaldson joins stellar field

Jamie Donaldson has confirmed his participation at the Omega European Masters next month.

The Welshman will join Ryder Cup teammates Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia and Victor Dubuisson at the prestigious event, which tees off at Crans-sur-Sierre in the Swiss Alps on July 23.

“The Omega European Masters is a great tournament played at a stunning venue, and the course is always challenging,” the world number 33 told

“I really look forward to playing in the Swiss Alps in this brilliant event.”

The 39-year old has a solid record at the event, having finished in the top ten in his last three appearances.

However, Donaldson has missed five cuts this year and will have to improve his game should he want to be in the mix come Sunday at the event, which also includes world number 15 Patrick Reed.
