DeLaet to miss PGA Champs

Graham DeLaet has been forced to withdraw from the PGA Championships due to an injury.

The Canadian has pulled out of the final major of the year due to a thumb injury. It was the same injury that saw him withdraw after the second round at his home event, the RBC Canadian Open, last month.

The seriousness of the injury has not yet been revealed and the 33-year-old did not indicate when he would return to the course. DeLaet has been winless since 2009 and has earned three top ten finishes this year.

He will be replaced by Texan Sean O’Hair, who earned a runner-up finish at the Valspar Championship in March, but has missed five cuts in his last six events.
