Bale builds Sawgrass 17th replica in his backyard
Gareth Bale is such a big golf fan that he decided to build a massive replica of one of golf’s most famous holes in his own backyard.
The Real Madrid star decided back in 2015 to have three famous par-three holes created at his house in south Wales, and one of them is now fully completed.
Below is Sawgrass’ iconic 17th hole with its signature island green:

And here is Bale’s own version of the iconic hole, a stone’s throw away from his home:

Still in the works are versions of the infamous Postage Stamp at Royal Troon and the par-three 12th at Augusta National.
Bale is a single-figure handicapper who once confessed to being “obsessed” with golf. He has featured in several celebrity golf tournaments.
