Alcanada tops the table for customer satisfaction

Club De Golf Alcanada, one of Europe’s premier courses, has won yet more plaudits after being named the island’s best in Simply Mallorca Golf’s Customer Service Scores for 2016.
Alcanada, which has been voted the best golf course in the continent by visitors to 1golf.eu six years running, continues to lead the way since its opening in October 2003 and visitors have given it glowing praise for its service and quality over the last year.
Kristoff Both, director of Golf at Alcanada, said: “It is great to know that our customers are very happy with all aspects of what is on offer here. We always welcome feedback as it helps us to continually improve.
“We are always striving to deliver the best possible experience for everyone and are continually investing in all aspects of the course and facilities to make sure we remain one of the best and most loved courses in Europe.
“This is another award that emphasises that commitment and we will continue to carry that on.”
The 7,108-yard Robert Trent Jones Jnr-designed course – the island’s only golf club next to the sea – has long been a favourite with locals and travellers thanks in part to its iconic views of a lighthouse situated 150 metres offshore that can be seen from most of the holes.
Alcanada, who were third in the Simply Mallorca Golf rankings in 2015, proved to be the most popular out of 19 of the island’s courses among customers after scoring highly in eight categories – design and layout (1st), customer service (1st), overall enjoyment (1st), overall value for money (6th), tee boxes (2nd), condition of fairways (2nd) and greens (2nd) and speed of play (5th).
Mark Showler, director of www.simplymallorcagolf.com, said: “We’ve worked with Kristoff and the team at Alcanada since 2004, and we’ve always been impressed by the quality of the course, and the dedication of the entire team in delivering an experience that is significantly higher than many other courses on the island.
“Our customers have recognised this for themselves, and their feedback has resulted in Alcanada being named as the best course on the island in 2016.”
