Your grip’s the thing

Yes, on a day when you can forget about all those bad rounds you had in 2006 and instead look forward to all the good ones to come in 2007, let’s have another glance at one of the most important basics in golf. The correct grip.
Some people have ‘stronger’ grips than the norm and others ‘weaker’, but generally if you are having a hard time with shots continually straying off line, its very possible that all you may need to do is improve your grip.
Make sure the Vs formed between both your thumbs and your forefingers point to a spot midway between your chin and the point of your right shoulder (if you are right handed) for that will give you the neutral position that will correct your grip and get those shots soaring down the middle of the fairway or arrowing to the heart of the green.
Try it. You might be surprised by how such a simple adjustment can make such a difference.
