World No 1 Tiger Woods will need a Ryder Cup wild card after coming only 28th in the 92nd United States PGA Championship.
So will 2008 Ryder Cup standout Anthony Kim and last year’s US Open champion Lucas Glover after thde two were both bumped out of a top eight spot in the final counting event on Dunday.
Kim and Glover lost out as Bubba Watson climbing from 18th to third in making the play-off with German Martin Kaymer, while Dustin Johnson moved from ninth to sixth despite the two-shot penalty which dramatically denied him a place in the play-off at Whistling Straits.
US Captain Corey Pavin will name his four wild cards on September 7, two of wich are expected to go to Woods and Kim.
