Lee Westwood has been rewarded for his outstanding 2010 season with an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Lee Westwood has been rewarded for his outstanding 2010 season with an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, the European Tour has announced.

The Englishman ended Tiger Woods’ reign as the World Number One and won the St Jude Classic on the US PGA Tour.

He was second four times on The European Tour, including at the Masters Tournament and The Open Championship and he finished third in annual The Race to Dubai.-

The 38-year-old was also a key member of Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup Team at The Celtic Manor Resort, wher he won two and a half points.
