Westy says yes to Ballantines in Korea

Lee Westwood has confirmed that he’ll be teeing it up at the Ballantine’s Championship in South Korea in April.
World No 1 Lee Westwood has confirmed that he will tee up at the Ballantine Championship in South Korea at the end of April.
The world No 1 will line-up alongside the like of Ian Poulter and Ernie Els in the co-sanctioned European Tour and Asian Tour event.
Asia’s lone major champion Y E Yang will also feature at the Blackstone Resort in Incheon, the venue for the next three years.
Westwood was a lowly 34th on his last appearance in the tournament in 2009, when it was staged at Pinx Golf Club.
“I enjoyed a fantastic 2010 and becoming the world No 1 has been the fulfilment of a life-long ambition,” said the 37-year-old.
“Obviously I’m very keen to maintain the momentum in 2011 so I’m aiming to put on a great display for the Korean fans.”
