Viking washout in Mississippi

The first round of the Viking Classic was postponed 24 hours after overnight rain left the course saturated on Thursday.
The Jack Nicklaus-designed layout at the Annandale Golf Club in Mississippi was deemed unplayable on Thursday morning.
The action had been due to get under way at 7.20am local time but that start time was soon put back before a decision was taken at 10.55am that no play at all would be possible.
The first-round tee times are therefore all moved forward 24 hours with the tournament now scheduled to finish on Monday.
However, more rain is forecast over the coming days and that threatens to wreak more havoc with the schedule given the course is already soaked.
