The Nielsen TV ratings for the final day of the Masters were down on last year, but up on the previous 10 years.

The preliminary Nielsen TV ratings for the final day of the Masters at Augusta National on Sunday went down from 10.4.to last year’s 12.0 when American golf idol Phil Mickelson won and Tiger Woods made his first post-sex scandal comeback to golf,

But South African surprise package Charl Schwartzel’s thrilling victory on a final day when a dozen players were in the hunt for a Green Jacket, including Woods himself, did generate the second-highested-rated final round in the last 10 years, according to the New York Times.
