TOO CLEVER BY HALF

The Americans might have thought they were being clever when they scooped up all three of the remaining WGC (World Golf Championship) events and persuaded the sponsors to have them played on US soil and not spread around the world as was the original idea when the WGC set-up was introduced.
They may have been too clever by half, though.
With Europe’s exciting new ‘Race to Dubai’ to consider when planning their 2009 schedules, events like the WGC-Accenture Match play Championship looks to be losing some of it’s appeal with some of our high-profile pros.
Already Lee Westwood is seriously considering giving it a miss and he might be followed by other European stars.
Can we expect to see a lot more of the games big guns playing in Europe and Asia this year? Yes, No or maybe..What’s your feeling?
Cheers
