Stars of the future?

Ross Fisher and Anthony Kim, this week’s winners on the European and US PGA Tours, are players we are going to hear a lot more about.
Fisher’s magnificent 7-shot, wire-to-wire victory in the European Open after opening with a course record 63 at the London Golf Club’s Heritage Course, was clearly the best of the two, achieved in circumstances made more difficult by never-ending pressure, a stronger field and much nastier weather than Kim had to contend with at the Congressional CC in Maryland.
But if the likes of Mark O’Meara (see my blog today) are correct, Kim might be the man to get closest to knocking Tiger off the top of the World Ranking list for only the second time since Vijay Singh managed it for a few months two or three years ago.
Kim is said to be enormously talented in a Tiger-like way and only needed to be taken off the disastrous road down which he was heading a year or so ago, to be put on track to greatness.
We look forward to seeing how the two progress over the next year or two.
In fact it’s not an impossibility that they’ll both played in this year’s Ryder Cup as first time rookies.
Let’s hear how you guys see their futures.
Cheers
