Sky Bet run rule over Ryder hopefuls

Sky Bet have issued odds on which players will make Monty’s side for Wales, with Crans winner Alex Noren 100/30 to feature.
Qualification for the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor is underway following the conclusion of the European Masters at Crans-Sur-Sierre and Sky Bet have issued odds on which players will make Colin Montgomerie’s side for Wales.
Crans winner Alex Noren is a 100/30 shot to make his Ryder Cup debut, whilst runner-up Bradley Dredge is an 11/1 chance to play in his native homeland.
The European side looks strong on paper, with the likes of Sergio Garcia (1/33), Padraig Harrington (1/33), Rory McIlroy (1/33), Paul Casey (1/16), Henrik Stenson (1/14) and Lee Westwood (1/12) all considered near certainties to play at Celtic Manor next year.
Montgomerie has, however, changed the qualification criteria this year. For the first time, the European captain has three wildcard picks.
Sky Bet’s golf betting compiler John Rhodes said: “Even the likes of Martin Kaymer and Ian Poulter are a short price to make the Ryder Cup team, so very few places remain to be filled.
“Monty will be looking for players like Oli Wilson, Soren Kjeldsen and Francesco Molinari to step up to the next level and make qualification hard for every European player.”
