The field is the strongest in the event’s history and will have a powerful British contingent with long-time superstar Laura Davies being joined by the youthful promise of Melissa Reid and the resurgent Rebecca Hudson and Becky Brewerton.
The quality of the Royal Lytham and St Anne’s layout is proved by the fact that it has hosted three Women’s British Opens and ten Open Championships.
Winners on this magnificent links include legends of the game such as Annika Sorenstam, Seve Ballesteros, Tony Jacklin, Peter Thomson and Bobby Jones.
