A good though to have you make a smooth transition from backswing to downswing is to practice and say, “pause and bump.” As you reach the top of your backswing, make a slight pause and bump or shift your weight with your feet and hips onto your left side. Start down smoothly and you will already have your balance set to receive your weight on your left side as you come through impact. On the course, just trust the swing change you have made.
