Kouemi Oda produced an excellent final round of 65 to win the Casio World Open by three strokes at Kochi Kuroshio Country Club on Sunday.
Starting the day in a three-way tie for the lead with Ryo Ishikawa and Shigeki Murayama, the 31-year-old pulled away thanks to seven birdies in 10 holes starting from the sixth.
Oda’s seven-under-par effort saw him finish 21 under for the tournament, three ahead of Ishikawa whose four-under 68 contained six birdies and two bogeys.
Tetsuji Hiratsuka finished third on 16-under following a bogey-free 68 while three players finished tied for fourth a shot further back including Ryuchi Oda, who also fired a 65.
