Milestone for Molinari brothers

Home

Francesco and Edoardo Molinari will be the first brothers to compete at the Masters together since 2000.

Italian World Cup winners Francesco and Edoardo Molinari will be the first brothers to compete at the Masters together since Japan’s Jumbo and Joe Ozaki in 2000.
The recent winners of the Omega Mission Hills World Championship qualified through being in the world’s top 50 at the end of this year, Edoardo making it for the first time in his career by finishing joint fourth at the South African Open.
Amazingly, he began 2009 down in 653rd place in the rankings and not even a full member of the European Tour.
The Ozakis were also the last brothers to be in the top 50 at the same time. That was 10 years ago.
Scotland’s Richie Ramsay, who grabbed his first Tour title by scoring 65 and then beating Indian Shiv Kapur in a play-off at Pearl Valley, is up from 240th to 117th.
