Kim ousts Gal in Arkansas

Korean Song-Hee Kim will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship.
South Korean Song-Hee Kim will take a two-shot lead into Sunday’s final round of the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship after shooting a 3-under-par 68 on Satyurday.
Kim, with a nine-under total, leads American Angela Stanford, who shot a 69 while Na Yeon Choi is tied for third with Sun Young Yoo and Yani Tseng after an impressive 65, the lowest round of the day.
First-round leader Sandra Gal of Germany, who led at seven-under after yesterday’s first round, posted a disastrous second-round 76 which left her two-under and way back in a 24th place tie.
Kim’s wayward driving was not as costly as it could have been as she seeks her maiden LPGA Tour victory.
She said: “I was really calm today, and I tried talking with my caddie. And it was really good. I felt good, and my caddie helped me play well, so it was good.
“Actually when I was in warm-up this morning, I was feeling pretty bad, really tired. I didn’t feel good.
“My caddie tried telling me to think positively. This is the fourth tournament in a row for me so I’m tired.”
Michelle Wie’s 70 after yesterday’s 69 left her three-under tied in 15th. England’s Karen Stupples hit a disappoingting 72, but was still three-under after yesterday’s 67.
