Keep those grooves clean

Home

Always make sure the grooves of your clubs are working for you by cleaning them after every shot.

Always make sure the grooves of your clubs are working for you by cleaning them after every shot.
If mud, caked dust, grass or even water gets into them, you will not get the spin required for a good flight, regardless of whether its a shot with a driver from a tee, or with with a wedge to the green.
Even the smooth role generated by the top spin imparted on the ball by the new grooved putters can be affected.
So carry a brush – a nail brush is good – and a towell to keep the ball flying off the tee or stopping on the green.
