Jimenez shoots an albatross

Miguel Angel Jimenez today posted only the third albatross of the European Tour season at the BMW PGA Championship.

Miguel Angel Jimenez, who had a hole-in-one in the final round en route to winning the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth last year, today recorded only the third albatross of the European Tour season.

Jimenez sank a 206-yard six-iron on the long fourth at Wentworth’s West course to leap from three under par to six under.
It nevertheless left him with a mountain to climb if he is to successfully defend his title for he was still seven adrift of overnight leader Paul Casey .
The previous albatrosses this season were posted by Robert Allenby at the Australian Masters last November and by Retief Goosen in the Joburg Open in January.
