Ishikawa to play in Scottish Open

Japan’s rising teenaged star, Ryo Ishikawa, will make his 2nd appearance in Europe at the Barclays Scottish Open.
Eighteen-year-old Ryo Ishikawa, Japan’s hottest golfing property, is set to make his second appearance in Europe at the Barclays Scottish Open in two weeks time.
Ishikawa, whose British debut came alongside Tiger Woods and Lee Westwood in The Open at Turnberry last year, has chosen the Loch Lomond event as his warm-up for the following week’s Open at St Andrews.
The teenager is already a seven-time winner on his home circuit, the last of his victories in May being achieved with a closing 12 under par 58 – the lowest ever achieved on any major golf tour.
“I am very much looking forward to coming to Scotland,” he said. “Every professional golfer wants to play in the best tournaments in the world on the best courses and I know, from what I have heard from other players, that the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond fits the bill in both those categories.”
New US Open champion Graeme McDowell and world number two Phil Mickelson are also in the star-studded field.
