Inbee Park wins in Japan

Inbee Park has won for the third time in Japan at the Daikin Orchid Ladies at Ryukyu Golf Club in Okinawa Prefecture.
LPGA Tour member Inbee Park has won for the third time in Japan at the Daikin Orchid Ladies at Ryukyu Golf Club in Okinawa Prefecture.
This in the same event in which Japan’s Ai Miyazato, briefly the World No 1 last year, missed the cut.
Park, a South Korean, posted a 6-under 66 during the final round to finish three strokes clear of Japan’s Miki Sa
Park first put herself in the headlines when she won the 2008 US Women’s Open, but until Sunday, she had had a slow start to the 2011 season, finishing tied for 43rd at the Honda LPGA Thailand and sharing 40th place at the HSBC Women’s Champions.
With the shortened, recession-hit LPGA Tour not due to function again until the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup in the third week of March and the Ladies European Tour dormant until the Lalla Meryem Cup tees off in Morocco on March 31, golfers, like Park, who are looking for action are seeking it in Asia and Japan right now .
