Ikeda takes Classic win

Yuta Ikeda narrowly triumphed over Tetsuji Hiratsuka to win the Japan Tour’s Sun Chlorella Classic by one shot.
Ikeda led by one heading into the final round, and clung on to that advantage over his Japanese compatriot for the duration.
Disaster loomed on the closing stretch, however, as Ikeda faltered and carded bogeys on the 13th, 14th and 16th holes.
It seemed at that stage as if he would be pipped to the post for the title, but he regathered himself to post two closing birdies on the final two holes to seal the deal and post a winning total of 14 under for the tournament.
Hiratsuka, meanwhile, will need to look no further than a triple bogey on the par-three fourth to see where his challenge took the biggest knock.
American Jay Choi shot a final-round two-under-par 70 to finish in third place, four strokes behind the leader.
The low round of the day went to South Korean Lee Dong-Hwan, a bogey-free seven-under-par 65 that earned him a share of fourth place on nine under with Australia’s Kurt Barnes.
