This after producing a magnificent third-round 64 at the Otaru Country Club to go 14-under for the tournament and take a one-shot lead over third-round leader Tetsuji Hiratsuka.
Hiratsuka had led by four at the start of the day but slipped down the leaderboard with a 72.
Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat remains in third place , three off the lead at 11 under after shooting a two-under 70.
